The cow project continues to prosper and the number of cows increases each year. The cows provide families with milk for personal consumption and as a product to sell. Each woman that owns a Kuza Project provided cow, or one born from an initially donated cow, helps to build and maintain the stalls that house the livestock. The manure produced is valuable for use in vegetable gardens, and the cow’s milk provides much needed protein for the family.
